Day 1 Week 2

Started the second week of couch to 5K and it went better than I expected, I didn't have to pause the podcast to catch my breath and I ran for all of the 90 second intervals. It is surprising how much longer 90 seconds feels than 60 seconds when you're running. I have also added an arm workout to my routine in my new quest to get Jillian Michaels arms... it is three sets of seven exercises every other day (Lateral Pull Down, Upright Row, Bicep Curl, Triceps Kickback, Lateral Raise, Front Raise, and Butterflye).

Lastly, for today, I am looking to accumulate a collection of songs that are great for working out. So I am wondering what is your favorite work-out song(s)?


  1. I so get how 90 seconds of running feels like forever, but you are awesome for getting through that workout without having to pause it! Great job!

    I don't workout to music (except what is being played at the gym) so I'm no help on that front - sorry!

  2. I love working out to songs that make me feel really pumped. For me this means techno, 80s freestyle, and 90s hip-hop. Some of my favorites are: Poison by Bell Biv Devoe; Gonna Make You Sweat by C+C Music Factory; Can You Feel the Beat by Lisa Lisa & Cult Jam; Whoomp! There it is by Tag Team; & Everytime We Touch by Cascada. If you like those and need more recommendations, let me know... my music library is huge :)

    As far as my collection goes, I'm a big fan of Beyonce, Brittney, and some 80's music that I can't think of right now..
